Individuals who do not have access to the internet can check their Aadhaar-PAN card link status by calling the toll-free number – 1800-180-1961.
The government has also given a facility to check the status through SMS. The taxpayer needs to send SMS to 567678 or 56161. If the Aadhaar is linked with PAN, following message will be received: “Aadhaar is already associated with PAN in ITD database.

Step 1: Dial the toll-free number – 1800-180-1961.

Step 2: Follow the instructions and enter your Aadhaar number and PAN number.

Step 3: After entering the details, your Aadhaar-PAN card link status will be provided.

Note: The toll-free number can be accessed only from the mobile number that is linked with Aadhaar.

  1. Aadhaar-PAN card is linked: If your Aadhaar-PAN card is linked, then you do not have to take any action.
